DIETARY MINERALS

Mineral nutrients are classified as major elements (calcium, chlorine, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and sulphur)
and trace elements (copper, fluoride, iodine, iron, selenium and zinc). Major elements are required in larger quantities
and micronutrients or trace elements are required to the body in very small amounts.
